BK Speed is a chain of coffee shops I opened in Brooklyn ☕️🤗. The business model is to outfit bars with coffee stations, supplies, and baristas. Bars can then make money during the day, and the coffee business doesn't have to pay for a storefront.
I did the branding, logo, package design, and signage.
Solution
BK Speed's signature drink is a double caffeine cold brew. The logo reflects the jolt from that extra shot of caffeine. The branding is simple & modern, with a lean towards artisanal. The branding reflects Brooklyn, and the local vendors and employees who supply the beans, cups, doughnuts, and friendly service.
Results
The business was profitable in year one. In year two, we focused on sustainable growth, opening multiple locations throughout Brooklyn. BK Speed received substantial positive media coverage and industry accolades, with the branding being cited as one of the standout qualities. Successful brand building and increased market visibility resulted in steady gains throughout years 3 and 4.
